Drink Tracker

Terms and Privacy

Last updated 20 September 2026

The short version. A free hobby project for counting the signature drink at events worth counting — the US Open, the Kentucky Derby, Wimbledon, Oktoberfest and others. It shows no ads, sells nothing, and doesn't sell your data. It stores the rounds you log, a handle you choose, and anything you post. The blood alcohol figure is an estimate and must never be used to decide whether you can drive.

You must be 21 or over

This site is for people of legal drinking age in the United States. Some of the events it covers take place where the legal age is lower — the drinking age at Oktoberfest or Wimbledon is 18 — but this site applies 21 everywhere, because that is the rule where it's run from.

We ask you to confirm your age once. We don't ask for a date of birth or any identification, and we store nothing beyond the fact that you said yes. If you're under 21, please don't use it.

The blood alcohol estimate

The BAC figure uses the Widmark formula with the weight you enter, the drinks you log, the times you log them, and the alcohol content of each drink. It is a model, not a measurement. Real blood alcohol depends on food, hydration, medication, sex, liver function, absorption rate and much else the app can't know.

The events here vary enormously in strength, and it's worth being plain about that. A Honey Deuce is about one standard drink. A litre Maß at Oktoberfest is four. A Rocket Fuel is more than two and tastes like a milkshake. A shared rum bucket may be three. The estimate accounts for this, but the gap between how a drink tastes and how strong it is, is exactly where people get caught out.

Never use this number to decide whether to drive, or to do anything else where being wrong matters. If you've been drinking, don't drive.

What gets stored

On your device:

On our database (hosted by Supabase, in the United States):

Your body weight and the resulting blood alcohol figures stay on your device and are never sent to the database.

One handle, many events

Your handle is the same everywhere, but each event keeps its own log, leaderboard, teams, board and gallery. The overview page adds up your totals across events on your own device — it doesn't send a combined profile anywhere.

Because the handle is shared, someone who knows it can see your public activity at every event where you've logged something.

What's public

Leaderboards, teams, the board and the gallery are shared with everyone using that event. If you set a handle, your total, rank and most recent round are visible to other users of that event. Notes you pin and photos you upload are visible to everyone. Treat it like a group chat, not a diary.

Notifications

Notifications are off unless you turn them on. If you do, your browser gives us a push address and a pair of encryption keys, which we store against your handle and the current event. We use them only to tell you about things aimed at you — someone buying you a round, cutting you off, or pinning you a note. Never someone else's logging, and never marketing.

Turn them off in Setup and the address is deleted. If your browser discards it, we delete it the next time a send fails. On iPhone, notifications only work once the app is on your home screen.

The alerts waitlist

Where notifications aren't available yet, you can leave an email address to hear when they launch. We store the address, your handle if you've set one, and which event you were on. We use it only to send that announcement — no newsletter, never shared or sold. Email the address below to have it removed.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the site get used, including which events are opened. Google sets cookies and may process your approximate location and device type. We don't use it for advertising, and there are no ad networks or other trackers. Any ad blocker or your browser's tracking protection will stop it, and the site works the same.

Prices, venues and figures

Prices, calories, alcohol content and cup dimensions come from public sources where we could find them and are estimates where we couldn't. Some events' figures are well documented; others — concession prices in particular — change every year and vary by stand. Treat every number as a best effort, not a quote.

Deleting your data

Setup → Clear log deletes that event's rounds from this device and from the database. Other events are untouched. To remove a photo, open it in the gallery and tap Delete; to remove a note, tap the × on it. To have your handle and everything attached to it removed from every event, email the address below.
